〜Open minded Principles〜

Now as we have welcomed in the 21st century, raising true international individuals has become a very important issue. For that reason we feel it is important to provide an environment in which children can come into contact with other cultures and languages. And thus, naturally develop a feeling of internationalism from an early age. 　　SOPHIA International Kindergarten was established in 1999 and has since been providing a natural English environment for early childhood education. Because English is the language of instruction, all activities including childcare and education, are conducted in English.

All children enter preschool / kindergarten filled with wonder, hope, enthusiasm, curiosity and a love of learning. At SOPHIA, we encourage these positive characteristics and hope to transform our students into confident, independent thinkers and learners. For many of our students learning a second language is “icing on the cake”. However, our focus at SOPHIA is helping our students grow and learn in a positive and nurturing environment.　It is also very important to us at SOPHIA that our students are exposed to different cultures, ideas and people in order for them to grow up to be truly international individuals.
